History

Founded in 1924, the Orchard Ridge Country Club is nestled on 120 acres of beautifully rolling ground on Fort Wayne's southwest side.  A beautiful apple orchard situated on a hillside marks the grounds and this natural feature of the property has given the club its name.  Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Ridge offers a quiet, relaxing golf experience without the hassle of traffic and houses everywhere.

Designed by Charles Maddox Jr., the immaculately maintained 6,550 yard golf course offers four sets of tees to provide different challenges for golfers of all skill levels.  Arthur Hills freshened the golf course in 1990, while retaining its traditional, tree-lined origins.  The relatively small and well-kept greens will test all of your scoring skills.

Over the years, the club has hosted numerous professional and state events, including the Ben Hogan (now Web.com) Tour and the very first Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) event in history in 1955.
